Ubuntu 15.10 Wobbly Windows and Desktop Cube
This quick video will show you the steps required to install Wobbly Windows and the Desktop Cube on Ubuntu 15.10.
1. sudo apt-get install compiz-plugins-extra
2. sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager
3. Start CCSM (Compiz Config Settings Manager).
4. In "General Options", make sure desktop size is set to 4 x 1.
5. Disable "Snapping Windows".
6. Disable "Window Grid".
7. Enable Wobbly Windows (which is awesome and fun).
8. Enable Desktop Cube and Cube Rotation.
Something I forgot to show in the video is how you can enable "cube transparency": in CCSM, select the Desktop Cube, then the "Transparency Cube" tab, and enter desired values (I usually leave "non-rotating opacity" set to 100, and "rotating opacity" set to 50.
