I have been itching to get my hands on an AMD U-series APU for quite a while now. Recently, I decided to purchase a Dell Inspiron 16 5625 to see how well (or badly) the AMD Ryzen 7 5825u runs Linux. So far, I've been very impressed!
Things that didn't (don't) work:
1. Resuming from sleep (I've set the "lid close" action to "turn off monitor").
2. Bluetooth (I replaced the M2 WiFi/Bluetooth card).
Other than the above, it runs Linux very well. It's quite snappy. The fans do tend to turn on frequently, but they're not annoyingly loud. I'll be using this machine at my daily driver for the next month (only running Linux), and will write a more comprehensive review after this.
