Installing Unreal Engine 4 on Kubuntu 17.10 Alpha 2
Unreal Engine 4.17 runs quite well on Kubuntu 17.10 Alpha 2. Just be prepared to set aside a few hours to get things up and running (if you're planning on developing in C++ on UE4). The first time you execute the UE4 Editor, it compiles all the things (which will utilize 100% of all your cores). Once all the shaders are compiled, things are a lot faster.
