Three notes and lots of Emotive Power - Lick Friday Week 448

A simple lick for this week in that we are only using three notes. Yep, three notes is all we need to create something great. As many will say "less is more" and yep, I agree with that for the most part and this weeks lick really does use less notes compared to our normal Guitar Lick Fridays. The problem some will have is how to make only three notes sound interesting and powerful with emotion too. That brings us to this weeks guitar lesson for #lickfriday. By bringing in lots of placed vibrato and attacking the string in the right way you will make the note pop and ring with emotion and power that captures the attention of the listener, and the player will feel the vibe through the strings. Then by adding a different rhythm pattern and repatition to the later half of the lick you create that familularity with repeating patterns and the attack combine just works like a slice of bread and added butter! Have a go and try and variate the way you play this lick. Three notes can tell so much more than you think, but its all in the way you play, not how many notes you can play. Have a great weekend.
