Another killer emotive guitar lick to add to your ever increasing guitar lick bag or vocabulary pot! Most of you will be no stranger to the pentatonic shape one, lets face it, its a killer box to memorise and start you off on what can be a wonderful journey of soloing. Included in the guitar lick are two main shapes, the first is the pentatonic shape one using a double stop bend or two and then a fast smooth descending run down the blues scale shape one. Followed by a lovely blues scale triplet patter, and one which I should use more often to be honest with you. Bending from the 17th fret (C) and starting the blues scale from the D on the second string really does flavour this us as a starting point, but to move through the rest of the blues scale ascending and then descending using a triplet pattern through the 5th shape of the blues scale as the chromatic tension needed to set this away from the norm.
