5 Essential Slow Blues Licks - Lick Friday Week 446

The Blues has many great guitar licks to learn and use but when you play them in Dm you are playing the guitar licks in the saddest of all keys. These licks have been thought about and played in a way that works to start off easy and end with a couple of more difficult guitar licks. Dm when played with a 3/4 or 12/8 time signature will bring out all that emotion and channel it through your strings creating one hell of a bluesy vibe. Even though the first three licks are relatively easy to grasp, it's the way they are played that will tell the story and bring the emotive side to the lick and note combination. Whereas the fourth and fifth guitar licks are a little harder to master to begin with, but as with the first three, if you add flavour around it it will sound awesome and can be used daily in many ways and genres. You won't go far wrong trying to learn these, and just a little each day will bring on the motor skill to apply when needed. Use the backing track too and these will work so well.
