Pie with poppy seeds and cherries will please you not only for its taste. He is very handsome in the context. Poppy seed cake with cherries is very easy to prepare - you need to mix everything and put it to bake. I also add more chocolate drops to this cake. It turns out very tasty. Poppy seed cherry pie will be one of your favorite simple tea pies.
❗ All ingredients should be at room temperature.
🔸 butter - 80 g
🔸 sugar - 200 g
🔸 eggs - 2 pcs.
🔸 vanilla extract - 1 tsp
🔸 salt - ½ teaspoon
🔸 milk - 200 ml
🔸 flour - 300 g
🔸 baking powder - 1 tablespoon
🔸 poppy seeds - 60 g
🔸 chocolate drops - 60 g
Filling:
🔸 cherry - 200 g
🔸 sugar - 2 tablespoons
🔸 corn starch - 1 tablespoon
1️⃣ Put soft butter in a deep bowl, add sugar, eggs, vanilla extract and salt. Beat with a mixer until fluffy.
2️⃣ While whisking, pour in the milk. Beat for another 1 minute.
3️⃣ Add half the flour, baking powder and stir.
4️⃣ Add the other half of the flour, stir until smooth.
5️⃣ Add poppy seeds, chocolate drops and stir again.
6️⃣ Grease a 26 cm baking dish with butter. Place the dough in a mold and flatten.
7️⃣ Mix cherries with 2 tablespoons of sugar and one tablespoon of cornstarch.
8️⃣ Place the cherries evenly on the dough, slightly melting them into the dough. Sprinkle the remaining sugar on top of the cherries.
9️⃣ Bake the poppy seed cake in an oven preheated to 190 ° C for 40-50 minutes. Check the readiness of the cake with a wooden skewer. Pierce the pie and take out the skewer, it should be dry.
🔟 Let the finished pie cool, transfer to a plate, cut into portions and enjoy.
