Cherry puff pastry pies are very easy and very fast. Everyone can make crispy pies with sweet and sour cherry filling. The longest thing in this recipe is to wait for the cherry filling to cool and the puff pastry to defrost. Both adults and children will love these quick cherry pies! Be sure to cook!
🔸 puff pastry - 500 g
🔸 pitted cherries - 400 g
🔸 sugar - 4 tablespoons
🔸 corn starch - 2 tablespoons
1️⃣ Put the cherries in a saucepan, add sugar and cornstarch, stir.
2️⃣ Put the cherries on low heat, bring them to a boil, stirring occasionally and simmer for one or two minutes, so that the filling begins to thicken. Remove the cherry filling from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.
3️⃣ Cut the defrosted puff pastry into squares with a side of about 10 cm. If necessary, roll out the dough slightly.
4️⃣ Using a sharp knife, make small longitudinal cuts on one part of the square. Put a tablespoon of cherry filling on the second part of the square.
5️⃣ Cover with the free side of the notched dough and form a pie. We pinch the edges first with our fingers and then press with a fork.
6️⃣ Put the finished pies on a baking sheet covered with baking paper.
7️⃣ Beat the egg with a fork until smooth. Lubricate the cherry pies with a beaten egg.
8️⃣ We bake puff pastries with cherries in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 25-30 minutes until a beautiful golden color.
9️⃣ Let the finished pies cool and enjoy their great taste!
