Today i'm going to show you how to set Alexa Echo dot to notify your phone when a beeping appliance is detected at home.
The beeping appliance can be your fire alarm system, gas detector alarm or any other appliance at home that beeps.
So to do this open your Amazon Alexa app.
Tap on more at the bottom of the screen.
Then tap on Routines
Now tap on the plus icon on the top right side of the screen.
Then tap on Add an event
now select sound detection
Then tap on Beeping Appliance
Now choose which of your echo devices should detect beeping appliance sounds.
For example i will select my lounge echo dot
Then tap next
Now select when you want this routine to be active.
For example i will choose every day
From 00:00 to 23:59
Then select the suppress time
I will keep it for 1 minute.
Now tap next
Then tap on "Add an action"
Scroll up
And tap on Send push notification.
Type the notification you want to send to your phone. For example i will type "Alarm detected at home"
Then tap next
Next again
Then save
All done. I will now recevie a notification on my phone when a beeping is detected at home.
