Time to take a deep breath and relax :)
I really enjoyed this... a simple idea, a bit of piano, mixed with a little bit of rings and elements from eurorack.
I think Ableton and Push are a great combination, it really makes the computer feel like an instrument that can be performed - and is reasonably compact setup.
Here I use (the absolutely fantastic) Pianoteq for the piano parts, with some nice reverbs from Valhalla DSP.
Then I use the external instrument in Ableton to bring in the Rings and Elements from Eurorack, and again sprinkle some Valhalla magic onto them.
There are so many ways I could have taken this, each time I played it, it was different, I had a really relaxing time just jamming along with my initial idea.
there was one 'oddity' I noticed....
so I wanted to record the master audio live from Ableton,
however, I wanted to remain in 'Session' view, as I wanted to record *new* clips (for Rings/Elements) - this is not really possible in Ableton.
if you know a way, Id love to hear them in the comments below!
in the end, I use Loopback to send the audio out of Ableton, and into audacity to record a stereo pair... which was not really ideal, but worked :)
