The Chicago Cubs are rumored to have interest in Japanese pitcher Tomoyuki Sugano. Sugano has pitched 12 seasons of Nippon Professional Baseball and is a 2x MVP and a 4x ERA Champion. The right-hander turns 35 before the season and has reportable been scouted by the Cubs front office. He is posted for the second time after not coming away with a contract in 2020. The success of Shota Imanaga last season may make it easier for the Cubs to attract him to Chicago.
