Breaking! Drew Smyly Placed on Waivers
The Cubs have placed left-handed reliever Drew Smyly on waivers. Smyly has not been designated for assignment. He will probably continue to play for the Cubs during the waiver process. Teams have two days to days to claim Smyly. He was 3-6 with a 2.84 ERA in 39 games this season out of the bullpen.
