Chicago Cubs Baseball News | Cubs look for Sweep
The Cubs have secured the 2024 Crosstown Cup as they are now 3-0 against the Chicago White Sox this season. The latest, a 7-6 win at Guaranteed Rate Field on Friday night.
The Cubs offense got started early and often against White Sox All-Star Garrett Crochet, with an Ian Happ leadoff home run. Cody Bellinger, Isaac Paredes and Nico Hoerner also homered, giving the Cubs a 7-0 cushion.
The game was not smooth sailing, as the Cubs allowed the Sox to get within one before Hector Neris sealed the deal with his 16th save of the campaign.
