PART 2 of my ALCOHOL and WEIGHT LOSS series

One of the main ways we can see alcohol directly impact weight loss is through the way it impacts our metabolism.

Because alcohol is considered a toxin in the body, it will always get priority when it comes to metabolism because our body wants it to get out of our system as quickly as possible! And this process takes time.

Although it is not necessary to completely cut alcohol out of your life in order to meet your weight loss goals, it is something we all need to consider. It’s never a bad thing to reflect on your alcohol consumption and make sure it’s not something that could be hindering you from meeting your goals.

As always I don’t think extremes are the answer, but always being educated and conscious of what we are putting into our bodies and how it is affecting us is key to a successful weight loss and overall healthy lifestyle.
