In this Godot 4.1 tutorial we work on creating a hitscan weapon for our zombie FPS game. The covered topics include shooting animations and mechanics, crosshairs, hitmarkers, bullet traces, hit particles, weapon switching, a simple weapon manager, and improved projectile guns. These mechanics can be used for many types of games, including FPS, horror, survival, RPG, etc.
