Enable and Disable the Drap and Drop Feature in VMware Workstation
1. Prepare
- My PC : A host operating system installed VMware Workstation Pro version 15.5.5
- 3 files .ISO on host Desktop (or any files you want)
- WIN10 : a Windows Virtual Machine running Windows 10
2. Step by step : Settings Enable and Disable the Drap and Drop in VMware Workstation
- My PC : Settings Enable and Disable the Drap and Drop for WIN10
+ VMware Workstation : Install VMware tools and test the Drap and Drop Feature
+ WIN10 : Logon in OS
+ Pre install VMware tools === Can not Drap and Drop
+ Install VMware tools : VM tab - Install VMware Tools... - Restart === Using Drap and Drop Feature - OK
+ Disable the Drap and Drop Feature :
+ Shutdown WIN10
+ VM tab - Settings... - Options tab - Guest Isolation - Uncheck "Enable drap and drop" - OK
+ Power on WIN10 === test the Drap and Drop Feature === Can not Drap and Drop
