Install Active Directory Federation Services in Windows Server 2022
1. Prepare
DC21 : Domain Controller(Yi.vn) | DC22 : Domain Member(Certificate Server) | DC23 : Domain Member(AD Federation Services Server)
2. Step by step : Install Active Directory Federation Services on DC23
DC21 : Create a new account service named FSservice
Server Manager - Tools - Active Directory Users and Computers - Services OU - Create a new account service named FSservice
DC22 : Install Certificate Server
Server Manager - Manage - Add Roles and Features - Next to 'Server Roles' : Select 'Active Directory Certificate Services' - Add Features
Next to 'Role Services' : Tick 'Certification Authority' + 'Certification Authority Web Enrollment' - Add Features - Next to Install
Click Notification - Click 'Configure Active Directory Certificate Services on the destination server' - Tick 'Certification Authority' + 'Certification Authority Web Enrollment'
Setup type : Choose 'Enterprise CA' - CA Type : Choose 'Root CA' - Next to 'CA Name' : Common name for this CA : Yi-CA - Next to Configure - Close - Restart server
DC23: Install Active Directory Federation Services
Restart Server
Start - mmc - File - Add/Remove Snap-in... - Choose Certificates - Add - Choose 'Computer account' - Finish - OK
Certificates (Local Computer) - Right-Click Personal - All Tasks - Request New Certificate... - Next to 'Request Certificates' : Tick Computer - Enroll - Finish - Close Console
Server Manager - Manage - Add Roles and Features - Next to 'Server Roles' : Select 'Active Directory Federation Services' - Next to Install - Close
Click Notification - Click 'Configure the federation service on this server.' - Next to 'Specify Service Properties' :
SSL Certificate : Choose DC23.Yi.vn
Federation Service Display Name : Yi
Specify Service Account - Click Select... : FSservice, enter password - Next to pre-requisite Checks - Configure - Close - Restart server
Server Manager - Tools - AD FS Management - OK
