Supplies
Crayola Marker (blue, black or another dark color)
Watercolor Paper or Normal Paper 4 Sheets
Water in a jar
Small round paintbrush
Paper Towel

Steps
1. Draw 8 circles stacked on top of each other
2. Label the circles starting at the top with #1
3. Above the bottom of the number two circle draw a shape for the rib cage
4. At the bottom of the number three draw a belly button
5. Above bottom of number 4 draw a shape for the hips
6. In the middle of circle number 6 draw the knees and add the feet at number 8
7. Add shoulders and draw the elbows in at the bottom of number three next to the belly
Botton and the hands at number 4

Adaptions
Draw ovals for all the shapes including arms and legs

Draw the figure from the side using these proportions

The shadows can be painted by first painting over the Crayola marker lines, this will make the
marker bleed and create shadows
When talking about the figure it’s important to point out that every person’s proportions are
different and that is a good thing. Observing the people you are drawing is the most important
thing.
