Tempera or Acrylic Paint
Plate or Palette
Watercolor or Print Paper
Foam brush or round paintbrush
Sharpie (Optional)
Steps
1. Think about different patterns you can make. Stripes, Dots, zig zags.
2. Think about what pattern you want to create on your hand
3. Add paint colors you need to your plate or palette
4. Use your paintbrush to paint them onto your hand (be fast so the paint doesn't dry)
5. Press your hand onto your paper, use your other hand to press each finger down
6. Lift hand off and let it dry while you wash your hands
7. After it is dry use a Sharpie to add words or patterns to it
Adaptions
You can use an object, bottom of shoe, vegetable cut in half instead of a hand
Extensions
Make hand prints with edible things like chocolate syrup or jam
Paint your hands like the skin of an animal, make the sign for that animal in sign language and
photograph it
Make your prints into animals or other things
Make multiple handprints on a paper to create a work of art
