🧴 BV is usually caused by a change in the natural balance in the vagina. This can be due to changes in sexual partner, the frequency of sexual activity, fitting of an IUD (intrauterine device) or your hygiene habits, for example - using perfumed products.
⚤ Though it is not an STI and so cannot be passed from a woman to a man, it is important to note that that a woman can pass it onto another woman!
