💊 Minoxidil is talked about a lot in the media - but does it help with female pattern hair loss?
👩🏻 With hair loss, it's important to understand if there's an underlying cause for it (i.e. a medical condition) - if so, then this should be treated first and that'll hopefully help with the hair loss symptoms.
1️⃣ If no condition is found, then the only licensed medication for female pattern hair loss is minoxidil - it is applied to the skin directly, and is supposed to be used regularly for several months if not longer to see if it's helpful.
🙅🏻♀️ Minoxidil isn't suitable for everyone, so if you are thinking of going down this route, I would encourage you to speak to your GP.
