How to change message notification sound on Android (For whole contacts or a particular contact)

Do you want to change the message notification sound for all the contacts or a particular contact in your Android device ? If yes, the let us see how to do it.
1. Go to "settings".
2. I will go to this "Apps". Let me scroll down and open message application.
3. Go to this option "Notifications".
4. Go to this option "General notification" and open it.
5. Go to "sound". Right now the notification sound is Beep one.
6. So if you want you can change to anything. Then go back.
7. So what we have done is we have changed the notification sound for incoming messages and this will apply to all the contact also.
8. Go to this option "New messages".
9. Go to "sound" and here also you have to change it.
10. Go back and then again go back.
11. So we have for General notifications and we have for New messages received. Now this is for all the contact.
12. Now suppose if you want to change the message notification tone only for a specific contact then what we will do is we will go ahead and we will open Messages application.
13. Then what we will do is we will select a contact like this one.
14. Open it.
15. Then tap on this three dotted icons here.
16. Go to this option "Notification type" and if it is default go to custom.
17. Tap on the gear icon here.
18. Then go to "sound" and change the notification sound.
19. So in this case only the notification sound for this particular contact will be changed when they will send you a message.
