How to Update PHP Version in WP Engine
Running an older version of PHP on your WordPress site? If you're hosting with WP Engine, I'll show you how to update your PHP version in WP Engine's custom dashboard.
As of February 25, 2019, WP Engine only offers up to PHP 7.2. I'm hoping they will add PHP 7.3 soon, as it is even faster than 7.2.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you use 7.2, and 7.3 when it becomes available.
Updating to PHP 7.2 will provide significant performance improvements, as well as keep your site secure.
In this video, I show you how to run some tests before updating, and then use WP Engine's dashboard to update your PHP version.
