Summer is a time of active movement. More often you are on the street, doing some work. You'll get caught somewhere and tear your clothes. This doesn't just happen to children.
Well, if the hole is small and can be sewn up imperceptibly. And if it’s big, then you can’t do without a patch.
In general, in our time, you will not surprise anyone with holes and patches. Many people tear clothes on purpose so that there are more through holes. And from the patches they make "works of art."
How to decorate a hole?
The easiest way is to sew the fabric on top. The patch itself can be cut into any shape: square, round, oval, star-shaped… There are special ready-made applications.
The finished patch can be supplemented with simple stitches, forward with a needle, make embroidery on it, sew on beads. Or do exactly the same, but place the patch inside under the hole. There is another good way when the hole is processed and all torn parts are removed.
I'll show you how to do this with a T-shirt. It was torn in the most visible place - in front.
1) First you need to think about which figure will be in the torn place. I chose my heart.
2) I drew a heart of the right size from paper.
3) I prepared a piece of another fabric, matching in color, larger than the hole. Circled the figure.
4) Attached this fabric to the T-shirt, right side to the T-shirt. You need to make sure that the hole is in the center. Stitched along the contour of the heart.
5) I cut off the inside, not reaching the seam of 0.5 cm. I made notches and turned the patch inside out.
6) Smoothed it out.
7) Now you need to pick up the fabric that will be inside the heart. For example, lace or any other beautiful fabric.
8) I have knitwear with sequins, I put it on the wrong side. Pinned with pins and stitched along the edge.
9) Mike turned inside out. Trim off any excess fabric.
10) I cut off a little interlining and smoothed it on a patch, while all the seams will stick and will not bulge and fray while wearing the T-shirt.
Ready.
You can make any figure in this way, in this case the hole has become not a disappointment, but the dignity of clothing.
