Enable 120Hz screen refresh rate with Power Saving Mode ON in One UI 3
In this (very useful) guide I will show you how to force enable the 120Hz screen refresh rate while Power Saving Mode is on. This method works in Samsung Galaxy devices that support 90Hz/120Hz and are running One UI 3.1 and older.
❗️Update: I tested this method after updating and unfortunately Samsung has patched it starting with One UI 4.0. I'll be uploading a new video as soon as I find another method to do this!
🧐 tl;dr
1. Go to Settings. Then at Display, open Motion smoothness.
2. Set the screen refresh rate to "Standard" and tap on Apply.
3. Go back to Motion smoothness and select the "High"/"Adaptive" screen refresh rate, but do not tap on Apply.
4. Pull down the notification shade and find the quick toggle for Power saving mode.
5. Tap and hold on the icon.
6. Turn on Power saving mode on the new tab.
7. From the recent apps, switch to Motion smoothness.
8. Tap on Apply.
9. Now you can use Power saving mode with style.
