How to fix the Date that keeps changing to 3209 in Windows - Flickering Screen and Crashing Apps
Hi there Pros! Are you here because you just installed the latest Windows Insider build? Your screen is probably flickering and everything is crashing, right? Don't worry!
This is a known bug that causes the date of Windows to randomly change to 7 August 3209 and the time to around 05:00. Thus, today I will show you how to fix it WITHOUT having to format your PC or leaving the Insider programme!

🧐 Steps:
1. Power off your PC.
2. Switch on your PC.
3. When the rotating loading animation appears, quickly power off your PC by holding the power button.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until "Preparing Automatic Repair" shows up.
5. Click on Advanced options ➜ Troubleshoot ➜ Advanced options ➜ Startup Settings ➜ Restart.
6. Press F5 (or Fn+F5) on your keyboard.
7. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del on your keyboard.
8. Click on Task manager to open it.
9. Click on File ➜ Run new task.
10. Type "cmd.exe" and click on OK.
11. At the terminal type "date" and press ENTER.
12. The date format will show up (where yy is the year, mm is the month, dd is the day).
13. Write today's date and press ENTER.
14. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del on your keyboard.
15. Click on Task manager to open it.
16. Click on File ➜ Run new task.
17. Type "control" and click on OK.
18. At Control Panel, click on Programs and Features.
19. Click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
20. Turn off all features that are related to Virtual Machines and click on OK.
-Hyper-V,
-Virtual Machine Platform,
-Windows Sandbox,
-Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL), etc.
21. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del on your keyboard.
22. Click on the Power icon and Restart your PC.
23. Now the date is fixed and it won't change anymore!
Extra steps:
24. Uninstall any VM-related apps.
25. Boot into the BIOS and fix the date manually.
26. Also in the BIOS, turn off Virtualization Technology (naming may vary depending on the CPU).
