How to Install and Activate Windows 10 - Step-by-step Guide - USB/DVD/ISO

🧐 Steps:
1. Prepare an empty USB flash drive (or DVD) that is at least 8GB+.
2. Download and launch Media Creation Tool.
3. Accept the notices and licence terms.
4. Select "Create installation media for another PC" and click on Next.
5. Choose the language and architecture. If you are unsure about it, leave it on recommended settings. Click Next.
6. Insert your USB flash drive (or DVD).
7. Select "USB flash drive" and click on Next.
8. Click on "Refresh drive list" and select the USB flash drive. Click Next.
9. Wait for the process to finish. Click on Finish.

I. If the tool finishes with an error, you must troubleshoot Windows Update.
II. Go to Settings, Update & Security, Troubleshoot, Additional troubleshooters.
III. Find Windows Update and run the troubleshooter.
Additionally, you can flash the ISO manually by using Rufus or UNetbootin.

10. Restart your PC. When the boot logo shows up, press DEL or F2 on your keyboard to access the BIOS. Check out the link in the beginning for the most common shortcut keys.
11. Make sure the drive you plan to install Windows is configured as AHCI.
12. Go to the Boot Device Priority/Order and move the USB/DVD drive to the first place.
13. Save the changes and exit the BIOS.
14. When the text shows up, press any random key in your keyboard.
15. At Windows Setup, choose the language, time format and keyboard layout. Click on Next.
16. Click on Install now.
17. Insert your product key and click Next. If you don't have one, click on "I don't have a product key".
18. Select the Windows Edition you want to install (I suggest the Pro) and click on Next.
19. Accept the terms and click Next.
20. Type SHIFT+F10 on your keyboard. A terminal window will pop up.
21. Execute these commands:
"diskpart"
"list disk"
"select disk X" (X is the disk number where you want to install Windows)
"clean" (will wipe the whole disk)
"convert gpt"
"list disk" (to double-check if the disk is empty and has been converted to gpt)
"exit" and close the terminal window.
22. Click "Custom: Install Windows only (advanced)".
23. Select Drive X (disk X from before). Click Next.
Note: If you have other disks that are empty and connected, I suggest you create random partitions, to prevent Windows from installing system components in those other disks.
24. After multiple restarts, your PC will finally boot to the set-up process. The steps here are optional. You may choose the options you prefer.
Note: When asked to sign into a Microsoft account, I suggest you create an offline local account first and then sign in. This is to prevent Windows from setting a cropped-out username.
25. Congratulations! You have installed Windows 10!
