The Twimbly Twelve | Tales of Varouxvia: Ascension S44
The party faces dire news as Ennui's mother is threatened by a relentless horde of undead sweeping across the land, already devastating Westcrest. To navigate this perilous journey, the party consults Benneck, the Crestmont court wizard, updating him on their critical mission to reclaim the lost shard of divinity.
Next, our heroes travel to Raven's Hollow, where they take a much-needed break to shop, rest at the inn, and exchange items for gold. Here, they gather crucial information about their next destination: Mt. Mortis, a massive catacomb accessible via Grimwhistle Depot.
Upon arriving at Grimwhistle Depot, the party encounters the peculiar gnome, Old Twimbly, who guards a dilapidated manor. As they explore the town, they discover more Old Twimblys, realizing the entire town, once known as Ravencrest, is now a graveyard overseen by twelve Old Twimblys and the last of the Ravencrest family. In this eerie setting, Old Twimbly holds the key to entering Mt. Mortis.
