Jerry Springer (1944 - 2023), speaking at a May 2, 2008 radio roundtable for "America's Got Talent," spoke with pride about the unpolished guests and audience members of his daytime talk show, saying: "I kind of almost enjoy in a sick way, I guess, the idea that, yep, these people are gonna be on television, just like all the rich and famous people on television."
