Is it worth it?
It can be a necessarily evil.
Especially this late in the season when pests and disease are rampant, it's time to ask the tough questions.
As gardeners, we need to do make the tough decisions with the big picture in mind. That might mean thinning or pulling out plants early for the sake of having a happier, healthier garden overall.
