If you don't want the screen of your Samsung device to turn off when you are calling or when you are receiving a call then what you do is go to "settings". Go to "Advanced features". Go to this option "Motion and Gestures" and if you see there is an option here "smart stay" and if you see the description keep the screen on when while you are looking at it. So enable this option. Once you do it whenever you are calling and whenever you are receiving your phone and when you take your phone near to the ear even at the time the screen of your phone won't turn off.
