What is Flash Duration in Photography ?
Flash Duration is the length of time that your flash does " glow " for.
A slow flash duration can add blur to movement in an image. A fast flash duration can freeze the movement in an image.
For example a hummingbird beats it's wings around 15 times a second.
Photographing a hummingbird in flight with a slow flash duration will see the hummingbirds wings be a blur. However, photographing the hummingbird in flight with a fast flash duration will see the wings of the bird frozen.
