May 3, 2007 was another happy vacation day. In the morning, the McCanns with the whole family were at sea, in the afternoon they relaxed by the pool. This is where Madline's last photo was taken. By evening Jerry went to play tennis, and Kate went to the room with the children.
At 20:00 the McCanns put the children to bed and went to dinner with friends at the Tapas restaurant at the hotel, which was located about 50 meters from their room. Night babysitting services were available at the hotel, but Keith and Jerry did not. Every half hour, one of the adults went to check on the children.
