I created this tutorial in response to a question from one of my viewers. He wanted to know what formula to use to prevent an end user from entering a Budget Number or Budget Percentage that would exceed the limit set for his budget,
Well, in my response, I show him how to create this formula - but - in the context of Data Validation. When you create a formula in Data Validation, the answer to the Formula must return TRUE. This means that the entry is OK. If the answer to the Data Validation Formula is FALSE, then this entry violates the rule and an Error Message Box appears.
In this tutorial, I demonstrate two approaches to creating a budget. First, by entering a Constant Value. Then, by entering a Percentage of Budget.
