When you upload a video Instagram will automatically pick the thumbnail for your video. However, you can easily change the cover thumbnail for your video if you would like to.
Just follow these steps:
1. Open up Instagram app and login to your profile if you haven’t already.
2. Click on your home icon at the bottom left corner.
3. Swipe to the right side to upload new content.
4. Swipe to the right side again to publish a post instead of a story.
5. Now select a video from your gallery.
6. Click on the arrow icon at the top right corner.
7. Choose to upload it as a short video and click on “Continue” button.
8. Here you will be able to edit your video. Click on “Cover” at the bottom right corner and you will be able to choose an individual cover thumbnail for your video.
9. After you pick the thumbnail cover, click on the arrow icon at the top right corner and post your video as you usually do.
