Practical Toyota Hiace Bed design - Full Tour
Complete walkthrough of the convertable, pull-out style bed design in my 2009 Toyota Hiace campervan conversion.
The multi-functionality of having a day lounge which can slide out into a bed at night to make so much use of the same space is too good to pass up for any design which is intended to be used for longer periods of time (More than a weekender).
-Heavy duty ball-bearing runners on a slide out frame make settup quick and easy
-A deluxe high-density mattress (Clarke Rubber) including a memory foam layer on top together with real Ikea bed slats make the bed feel just like home.
-While carefully considering the importance of open space in the van, the design also packs in tons of multi-functional storage space (even catering for a surfboard)
One of the more complicated bed designs that you'll find in a Toyota Hiace to build, but once it's in it makes life on the road an absolute pleasure!
