Which insulation is best for insulating your campervan? - What you need to know when choosing your insulation!

INSULATION MATERIALS:
Spray Foam Insulation - Best thermal qualities, but intimidating. Worth it for large, expensive builds.
Source: Honestly in Australia, I don't know. I haven't been able to find any companies selling small enough kits that will answer my emails.
XPS - Extruded Polystyrene: Great thermal qualities & cheap, but quite involved install. Also fantastic for large van builds on more of a budget or small vans if you're anal about thermal properties.

Flexible closed cell foam: Most user friendly in terms of install and preventing condensation. Expensive considering it's less thermally effective that other options due to only being 10mm thick.
**Side note - It still gets the job done thermally! Don't let that scare you off unless you're planning on camping in the Alps mid winter without a diesel heater.
Source: Carbuilders are the cheapest I've found in Australia and everyone uses Armaflex in Europe.
Natural Sheep's Wool: Only sustainable product on the list, It's an easy installation and it 's natural fibers means it breathes with the van when moisture does inevitably form. Although it deals with moisture better, it arguably isn't quite as good at completely stopping condensation in the first place.
They're all fantastic products! Honestly if you're careful during the installation process to do everything correctly, you really can't go wrong with any of these options. Just pich whichever one feels right to you and go for it - Get started, you got this!
