Man dies after being shot near Metro bus in Des Moines, suspect still at large
A man is dead after being shot near a King County Metro bus in Des Moines Monday afternoon, according to King County deputies.
At around 2:20 p.m., dispatch received a call regarding a shooting that occurred on or near a King County Metro bus in Des Moines. Deputies said the shooting occurred on South 216th and International Blvd., which is just across the line into Des Moines.
When units arrived, they found a man on the ground. When fire crews arrived, they drove the man to Harborview Medical Center, but he died shortly after being taken to the hospital, according to King County deputies.
Deputies said this incident is now a death investigation, and officials are still attempting to identify the victim.
