If you're contemplating film school, I am just like you.
A dreamer. Full of drive. Ready to "rewrite our stars."
I did go to film school. Packed my life and moved to LA. Loved it. Everything. I was 30 and my life had just begun.
Fast forward to now: Film school was amazing and devastating at the same time. My classmates and I went into massive debt only to realize the only way forward after school for aspiring directors was to in fact begin directing our own movies -- But on our dime.
Bad situation when you spent everything on school.
Since school I've worked on studio and independent films. Met a lot of cool people. And I've spent 3 years putting an online film school together to help younger versions of me avoid the minefields of traditional training.
