In this presentation, we walk through the creating a "Hello World" project in a newly installed instance of Android Studio. We choose some settings and have some of the final Android Studio software download and install. We create an Empty-Activity phone ("Hello World") project. After allowing the Gradle to sync, we create an Android Virtual Device (AVD) -- more downloading and installing. After creating and selecting the AVD, we run the Hello World-project which fails. We then edit the (Module) build gradle file, allow it to re-sync, and then successfully run the Hello-Word project.
