If you're not a DP or camera operator, but more of a director wearing multiple hats, understanding exposure can prove elusive at first.
The 180 degree rule, shutter speed, aperture...and on and on. But if you don't nail exposure, you're in trouble. Trust me...I learned the hard way.
The good news? It doesn't have to be difficult. You just need to understand the exposure layers,and how we interact with them as filmmakers. Shot a video that takes you through all four exposure layers while also giving practical application for indoor and outdoor shoots.
This lesson uses the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera, Sirui anamorphic lens and a Sekonic incident light meter and it's an important lesson in the pre-production phase of my online film school!
