A blogroll is really just a list of links. What else is a list of links? Your menu! We can simply reuse the menu functionality in WordPress to create a blogroll.
If you visit the Live Customizer, you'll find a Menus section where you can create new menus. Using the Custom Links section, you can add links to external websites. Add as many as you want and then click the Publish button to save the new menu.
To display this new blogroll menu on your site, you'll use the Navigation Menu widget. Open the Widgets section in the Customizer, select the widget area for your sidebar, and then you can add a new widget (the Navigation Widget). Once added, you'll see the list of links show up right away. You can even add a custom title above the links.
