Who is Ben?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

In 2010, I made my first WordPress website.

In 2014, I started a WordPress theme business called Compete Themes. I’ve since designed and developed 19 WordPress themes that have been downloaded more than 1.5+ million times. As a WordPress user, developer, and business owner, I can tell you that I know this platform inside-and-out.

Now I'm teaching everything I know.

I'm on a mission to answer all of the web's WordPress questions, and with the lessons in my videos, you'll skip hours of frustration and instead learn how to use WordPress in a way that is both simple and enjoyable.

About this Video
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Uploading PDFs to WordPress is simple. You just need to understand that the Media Library is exclusively used for images. You can upload PDFs, videos, MP3s, and all manner of media content to the Media Library.

Once you know this, it's obvious how to upload PDFs since it's the exact same process as uploading an image.

If you want to share a PDF in a page on your site or in a social media post, you need to get a URL for the file. As long as the PDF has been uploaded to your site, you'll have a static URL you can use to share it anywhere.

When linking to a PDF in a post or page, you can tell visitors to right-click it and choose the "Save file as..." option to download it. Or, watch to the end of this video and you'll see how to add the "download" link attribute that will let visitors simply click the link once to automatically download the PDF to their device.
