KRTV Ray W. Steele interview with artist Branson Stevenson discussing his work as a commercial artist, technique of emulsion wax watercolor painting, and sketch book of color techniques. Also covered are artwork pieces of Sullivan Hill, Logan Pass, and Reeder’s Alley. Additionally, Stevenson talks about the Archie Bray Foundation, his pottery (examples include a Klein bottle and Raku pot), as well as his enjoyment of etching (examples such as a woman grinding corn, a shepherd with his flock, Going to the Sun). The artist demonstrates in his studio creating a copper plate proof of St. Helena’s Cathedral and a lithograph proof of Butte hill. Other topics covered were a glass mural he created for the Great Falls Public Library called “The Story of Paper;” his Buon Fresco mural of a Hurdy-Gurdy House in early Montana located in the home of Mrs. Mike Greely, and Stevenson’s philosophy on art. 1972 (collection MOV 0139)
