World of Warcraft Pristine Hand-Smoothed Pyrestone Archaeology Legion Quest Guide
The Pristine Hand-Smoothed Pyrestone can randomly be rewarded for solving Highmountain Archaeology finds by using Highmountain Tauren Archaeology Fragments, which can be obtained by performing Archaeology digs around Highmountain. The Highmountain Tauren Archaeology Fragment cost (35-115) does not seem to affect whether or not the solved relic will be the quest starter (as opposed to the standard relics created with Archaeology). For me, I had to solve around 5 Hand-Smoothed Pyrestones before I received the Pristine Hand-Smoothed Pyrestone.
Once you have the Pristine Hand-Smoothed Pyrestone, head to Things of the Past (NPC location: Dariness the Learned) in Dalaran, and head to the second floor. The Highmountain relics are placed on the northern-most display (found on your left) once you reach the second floor.
