We met one of the few people allowed to enter. With him, we will discover the distillery that makes the famous monks' liqueur. Exceptionally, one of the Brothers welcomes us there.
Charles Romero and his partner Sylvia Palkova have an extraordinary life. They are refuge keepers in the unspoiled Ecrins massif. In March, with the help of a handful of friends, they take on a challenge: to open the refuge almost buried under the snow. Four months later, in the middle of summer, we share with them a unique moment. They welcome a troupe of young musicians who tour from refuge to refuge, carrying their instruments on their backs.
Laurence Pinzetta guides us on an original discovery route on horseback. Accompanied by François Cottaz, a carriage driver, she travels through the Dauphiné valleys to the Château de Pupetières, renovated by Eugène Viollet-le-Duc. Their journey ends at Lake Paladru. Its turquoise waters hide the remains of a submerged medieval village.
In winter, the Vercors plateaus offer an extraordinary panorama of the Alps. With Nordic skis on her feet, Blandine Damieux-Verdeau, passionate about the history of the massif, follows in the footsteps of the resistance fighters who distinguished themselves during the Second World War.
