World of Warcraft Return to Karazhan: Scales of Legend Skinning Legion Quest Guide
This quest requires you to defeat raid bosses found within raids from past expansions. Once you defeat these raid bosses, you will need to skin their corpses (note that this will not cause them to despawn) Details for each boss are listed below, separated by the time they appear in the video.
0:10 Scale of Netherspite: Enter the Karazhan raid (NOT the Return to Karazhan Legion dungeon) on the southern side of Karazhan within Deadwind Pass of the Eastern Kingdoms. Netherspite is one of the final bosses of the dungeon, so you will need to work your way through most of the dungeon to reach this dragon. This video includes many of the locations people are likely to be confused, but feel free to ask any questions in the comments, should you get lost. First, be sure to defeat Moroes before you approach the Opera House, as this is a prerequisite to be able to proceed through the dungeon. Once you reach the fork in the Guardian's Library, where one path leads up to the left, and another descends to the right, take the path leading up on the left. This will lead to the Celestial Watch, where Netherspite can be found. Skin this enemy to receive the Scale of Netherspite.
2:24 Scale of Sartharian: Take the portal in the center of Dalaran (Broken Isles) to reach the Portal Room, then head to the Chamber of the Guardian straight ahead. Here, you will find a portal to Wyrmrest Temple; take this portal. Underneath of the Wyrmrest Temple in Northrend, you will find the entrance to Sartharion's Lair. Approach the temple from the north to find the lowest level of the temple; the raid entrance is found on the southern side of the room here. Once inside, Sartharion will be directly in front of you. You can defeat its guards, or just kill the dragon and skin in (using this method will earn you some achievements and a mount).
3:12 Scale of Garalon: Take the portal to the Veil of Eternal Blossoms in the Greyfang Enclave (Alliance) or Windrunner's Sanctuary (Horde) of Dalaran (Broken Isles). You will then need to go to the Dread Wastes to the southwest of the Veil of Eternal Blossoms within Pandaria. Garalon is the third boss in the dungeon known as the Heart of Fear. This dungeon is relatively linear, but let me know if you have any questions in navigation. To get Garalon to spawn, clear the trash mobs found on his platform. You will then need to skin this creature to obtain its scale.
Once you have all three scales, return to Ske'rit in northwestern Suramar to turn in this quest. This is part of the quest line to unlock the third rank of Stormscales for Legion Skinning.
