Welcome back to ProGuitarShop and ToneReport.com.Today, we're stretching the DOD Rubberneck Analog Delay to explore some of its more advanced features. The sonic palette of the Rubberneck is almost infinitely expandable thanks to a few key features. A single TRS jack effects loop lets you connect any number of pedals in the feedback path for mind-bending effects. Any pedals placed within this loop are applied only to the repeats, letting you apply octave, fuzz, reverb or whatever else, with each repeat reprocessed through the loop. Combining this with the Rubberneck alters the boundaries of delay itself, with the ability to stretch and contract effected repeats. The Rubberneck control lets you stretch up or down in pitch, depending on how far left or right of center you set the Rate control. The Rubberneck's Gain control isn't just for adding light grit, and with plenty of dirt on tap, you can drive your delay tones harder than some actual drive pedals, giving you sweet preamp breakup before the delay. Using the effects loop together with the Rubberneck control and the Gain knob transforms the Rubberneck from a delay pedal into a performance tool. You can also attach a DigiTech FS3X three-button footswitch for extra control action, such as the ability to instantly rubberize your signal, bypass the modulation, remote tap tempo or spiral your feedback out of control with a simple hold.
