❓Q: What other hardware do you consider in a potential deployment moving from software-only to hardware-assisted?
🤔 A: As a software solution, we can run it on the CPU, the GPU, and on the ASICs. We integrated different hardware accelerations.
But in most cases, power usage and density are the top priority. For obvious reasons. And more so in Europe because of the crisis situation. However, it's going to have an impact globally very soon.
With the rise in the amount of video which is produced, everybody will be forced to take care of density and power bills.
ASICs advantage over GPU is so significant that we can pass the density 10, 20, even 30 times sometimes, with much, much lower usage. So, from the TCO perspective, you are really easily cover the whole cost of the difference through the power bills. It's really so significant.
What we see right now is really migration towards efficiency.
Our software case is very, very easy. It is based on interfaces that can match virtually any server on the market.
