ADF Asks Federal Court to Stop New York AG’s Targeting of Pro-Life Pregnancy Centers
New York Attorney General Letitia James filed lawsuits against 11 pro-life pregnancy centers simply because they made truthful statements about abortion pill reversal. Read more: https://adflegal.org/article/new-york...
James’s lawsuits are an attempt to censor pregnancy centers because she disagrees with their beliefs. Pregnancy centers should be free to inform women about the option of abortion pill reversal, so Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys filed a lawsuit on behalf of the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates and two of its member centers challenging James’ unlawful censorship. In August 2024, a federal district court ruled that New York pregnancy centers could speak about abortion pill reversal while the lawsuit proceeds.
ADF Legal Counsel Gabriella McIntyre spoke on “EWTN News Nightly” about the importance of free speech, especially as it relates to informing women about the possibility of continuing their pregnancies.
